In shorts 6 weeks, you will be introduced to the foundations that make BJJ so effective- how to keep yourself safe, the positions of BJJ, how to escape bad spots and how to safely and effectively submit your opponent with a variety of submissions.
You will be introduced to “live” sparring with your partner under the guidance of our qualified coaching staff. Our world class facility is safe, clean and family oriented.
We guarantee that in 12 classes with us you will have a great understanding of BJJ and just how fun it can be- leaving you wanting more!

Meet your instructor
Logan Griffin
Meet Logan Griffin, the owner and head coach of Bristol Jiu Jitsu. A 2nd-degree black belt, Logan has spent the majority of his adult life immersed in the art, beginning his journey as a wrestler before achieving a 9-1 amateur MMA record.
He earned his black belt in 2018 after training under world-renowned figures all over the West Coast of Southern California, eventually finding his home under the tutelage of 11x World Champion Samuel Braga.
Beyond his competitive success at the highest levels, Logan is a King University graduate with a degree in Business Management and a dedicated family man who is passionate about building a supportive, ego-free community where students of all levels can excel.

Not at all. This course is specifically designed for total beginners with zero martial arts background. We start with the absolute fundamentals, and because BJJ is about technique and leverage rather than brute force, you will build your fitness progressively as you move through the six weeks.

For the initial sessions of the crash course, all you need is comfortable athletic wear—think shorts and a T-shirt or a rash guard. As you progress through the fundamentals of the curriculum, Head Coach Logan Griffin will guide you on the transition to a traditional Gi (or NoGi) attire.

We pride ourselves on an ego-free, supportive community. This crash course is conducted in a "beginner-only" environment, meaning everyone on the mat is learning the same basics at the same time, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for everyone to ask questions and grow.

Absolutely not. Our community includes students of all ages, and Logan Griffin’s coaching style emphasizes technical leverage over explosive athleticism. Since this is a beginner-only crash course, the pace is controlled and focused on learning proper mechanics safely.
